Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

My Dad lives for sports and family. Baseball being one of his all-time favorites. So when I heard they were coming to San Francisco for the National School Board Convention in April (and to visit his newest granddaughter) I checked all the schedules of the local teams to see who would be playing. To our luck, the A's were playing the NY Yankees the first night they were in town. We bundled up Sarah and headed to the baseball diamond in Oakland.



There's something about being in a stadium that makes me crave a chili cheese dog and nachos. I just wished I would have shared! At least it was too cold to even think about getting ice cream! Besides watching the players hit home runs, my favorite part of going to the baseball game is to get up and sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch. It's a good thing too because the game went into extra innings. The A's did not disappoint as they pulled through with a victory!
