We are having rough times at the Osness home. Sarah's been teething the last few days and the two culprits poked through last night. Poor Sarah has been gnawing on her toys, her fingers, etc. She's super sad. And just think - these are her first. I'm not looking forward to the others inevitably on their way. (Oh and we get to do it ALL over again when she's 5 WAHOO!!!) Any soothing advice will definitely be welcomed.

Frozen bagel pieces!
ReplyDeleteTeething really stinks...how come no one warned us about this when we signed up? Poor babies! Rosie just popped out her eighth and it's been traumatic every time.
We'll be thinking of you.

Teeth stink! Connor likes chewing on Maceys Alphabet letters for the bath tub. Also Motrin for babies works good.
ReplyDeleteWow - I wish Nathan would wait until 8 months, the doctor told us he's already beginning to teeth at 3 months. I've read that it hurts most at night, so that's when to give medication. A friend of mine swears by this homeopathic teething stuff, you'd have to find it at a whole-foods-type store. Apparently it tastes like water and her daughter loves to chew on the little cap-thingys it comes in. You might try helping her suck on a little bit of popsicle too. Let me know what works, since I think I've got a long-teether.
ReplyDeleteWow! She waited a long time Fred got her first 2 at 4 months. :) She was too small for most remedies but those chewy bag things you got that one time with frozen fruit would work great for Sarah!
ReplyDeleteIt could be worse! Read our blog to see why. I doo feel for you though its is not fun. But it didnt seem to hurt the girls as bad after the first few teeth came in. They make these things called teething tablets you can get them at Target in the baby section. Those always seemed to help. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hillary, This is Lori Colledge. Your little Sarah is beautiful. I found your blog off of somebody from St. George. Our blog is colledgefam.blogspot.com I hope you dont care if I add you to my friends. Teething is not fun, Maya's first 2 were the worst. The last 5 popped up out of nowhere.
ReplyDeleteTeething is so not fun! Infant's Motrin saved us. Or try a washcloth wrapped around a piece of ice for them to chew on. Just wait til those molars show up . . . ouch! Anyway, hope she feels better soon!
