This year's scenic Run/Walk was the most organized I have ever seen. The organizers went all out with arranging relay teams for the runners. There was the option of running one-3 1/2 mile leg, two-3 1/2 mile legs or walk 3 miles. Here's how it played out for the Osness family: Roger ran. I walked. Roger is sore. I am not. Roger ran twice as much as I walked. Roger hasn't trained since the spring. I do a fairly long walk twice a week. His time was much better than mine.

All silliness aside, I am so proud of my Roger. He averaged a 8:30 min. mile up and down hills during his two-3 1/2 mile legs of his relay race. Not too shabby for an office boy. Way to go Rog!
Sarah was happy to be in the stroller. Her big contribution to today's walk/run was to pull off her hat while we were on the Golden Gate Bridge and throw it "overboard" from her stroller. I didn't notice it until we were almost back to our finish line. Jennie and Owen were nice enough to walk back with us to the Bridge area, where I left Sarah with them so I could run as retraced our steps. Luckily, I didn't have to run too far. (I was totally out of breath!) A super nice dad pushing a stroller had seen Sarah drop her hat so he picked it up. He flagged me down as I ran towards the bridge. Thanks again!
Nice yellow pants Rog! Your wife must use color safe bleach, Go Hillary!:)
