Sorry No Photo

We bathed Sarah tonight and she LOVED figuring out how to really splash in the tub. Towards the end she had splashed out half of the water from her bathtub (which we put inside our shower/tub). I left Roger to dry her off, put on her diaper and dress her for bed so that I could make her a bottle (yes, she is weaned.) While I was shaking the bottle I heard Roger call out for me to come back into the bathroom. Apparently, after Roger had dried her off, he laid her on the floor right outside of the bathroom. She squirmed away before he could get her diaper on. (Admittedly, she's fast and Daddy's not quite the "pro" that Mommy is because he's at work all day.) Sarah scurried back to the bathroom, climbed up so she was standing at the tub, turned to him and laughed. Before Rog could get her, he noticed that she was pee-ing on the tile. How do you reprimand an almost-11-month-old for peeing on the floor. Oh, that's right, you don't. You just try to hide your face from her so she can't see you busting up with laughter. I mopped up the pee puddle and went to help Rog with the diaper/PJ duties. And yes, it did take both of us to pin her down so we could slap on that diaper. She's a wiggly one!

  1. that's an awesome story! I have a wiggler, too...and they're so slippery after the bath!!! Rose loves to run naked but it does seem to inspire the puddle-making. : ) Ha! They are priceless.

  4. At least the pee wasn't on the carpet! Wayne did that with Katie a while ago. How come that only happens when husbands are doing kid duty?

  6. unfortunately, we have pee puddles on the floor more often than I'd like to admit. But it never fails to make me laugh. I guess I just have to be thankful for tile and hard wood floors at this stage in life!

  7. My Sarah's favorite thing to do is crawl/wiggle all over our bed without her diaper on. Every time I think I shouldn't be letting her do this. It's just an accident waiting to happen. But she's so adorable and having so much fun...
