Roger makes frequently makes a health drink that we lovingly call the Green Monster. It contains various fruit (typically oranges, grapes, apples, and/or bananas) with some blended green stuff - kale, spinach and any other kind of leafy greens we may have in the house. Sometimes he will also put in a little protein powder. Needless to say, it's got tons of nutrients. And when he's done it tastes similar to the green Odwalla drink.
I have to say the green color and the lumpy texture doesn't bode well for this pregnant lady, but Sarah thinks Daddy's drink is super yummy. She gulps down 6-8 ounces at a time (even after breakfast!) I guess I don't need to worry about her getting enough leafy greens (Sarah won't eat lettuce in its regular form.) Here' a picture of her drinking it. Yum! Yum!
We absolutely will be around on the 19th. I work in the mornings but am free after noon or so. It would be fun to get together and catch up. Yay! I'm always excited when someone comes to town for a visit. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Anyone who can eat blended lettuce is either taste-bud deprived, or really amazing. Go healthy Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI'm voting taste bud deprived! But when she ends up being the tallest granddaughter we'll all know the proof was in the punch :)
ReplyDeleteWow- gotta say I am impressed with her grown-up taste buds! :0)
ReplyDeleteGive that girl a snickers!
ReplyDeleteI say yuck, but good for Sarah! And Happy Birthday to you. It was yesterday, right?
ReplyDeleteGood for Sarah! Great way to get the nutrients in!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome! I'll have to try that sometime, even if all I'm rewarded with is a great "sour face".
ReplyDeleteAnd the picture is too cute. I can practically hear the Popeye theme song playing.
What an artist!!! You should frame, or at least save one of here many pictures!!! I hear those green odwalla juices are pretty good!
