Most days Sarah takes just one nap in middle of the day. However, sometimes by 9 am she is cranky so we've come up with a routine that I give her 4-6 oz of milk and sit her in her crib with a few books and stuffed animals. For a half-hour to 45 minutes she has "quiet time." She does really well with it. Sunday was one of these quiet time days. Rog and I put her in her room while we got ready for church. After about 30 minutes she started "squawking" so I went in to get her. What I found was quite hilarious.
At first I thought she had reached over the crib and took these diapers off the dresser (no small feat for a toddler) but upon closer inspection I realized she got into the unopened stash next to her crib. These diapers have been there for quite a while so I was curious what made her think to rip open the plastic and pull them out. Upon closer examination (with my nose) I realized Sarah had a poopy diaper. Here's Sarah's story:
I love that she can say diaper!

What a smartie! It looks like she is getting big enough for a big girl toddler bed! She looks a little crowded in there (even without the diapers, and of course this is coming from the claustrophobic aunt).
ReplyDeleteIt was cute to hear Sarah talking! We love you guys!! Say the kids
ReplyDeleteWow! Good thing lil bro is coming she looks so huge in that little bed! What a cutie, and a little menace LOL!

ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome idea. We have the same problem some morning. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteOh no, it is happening! Both my kids started stripping when they needed a diaper change WAY before they were ready for potty training. It made for some gross laundry sometimes.
