Zoo with Mommy

Sarah and I braved the crowds on Wednesday (free day) at the Zoo. It was super fun to watch Sarah follow the sheep and goats around in the petting zoo. She loved petting the ones without horns (the goats with big horns were kinda scary!) She loved seeing the chicks in the hatchery and trying to make their sound.

I hadn't seen much more than the family farm in the children's zoo section so we strolled around the area and found ducks, monkeys, a parrot, an insect exhibit, horses and other animals. It was great. Sarah was "baaing" the sheep, "neighing" the horses "quacking" the ducks, and "uff-uffing" all the other animals. Super cute.

On the way back to the car we stopped at the carousal for a treat. Let's just say I'd forgotten how fast those things go! I put Sarah on a horse and took pictures before the ride started, but she quickly decided the bench seat was where she wanted to be. (I'm glad that's where we ended up as well!) She thought it was great fun!

All-in-all it was a great mommy-daughter outing. I love watching Sarah grow and explore. The only sadness I have is that I accidentally left my camera/video camera in the car. (These photos are from my iPhone.) I wish I could have got Sarah on video. I guess we'll have to go back!
