Lots of fun at the Pioneer Day Celebration Picnic. (Pioneer Day is July 24 - a state holiday in Utah.) There was tons of yummy BBQ style food, fun games and great people. There was panning for gold in a trough of water and a box of sand (Sarah got completely wet and then muddy), pin the wheel on the wagon (Sarah LOVED giving treats to participants), cornhusk doll making, pioneer photos with a handcart, and handcart races. (Sarah LOVED riding in the back with Daddy pulling.) All in all a super fun time. We came back sunburned (well, except Sarah, I did put sunscreen on her ...) and exhausted.
Can you tell the handcarts were a big hit for us?
