Sarah had a great time in Nursery this week. She loves playing with the kids, singing songs and learning about Jesus. (Rog and I also loved our time at church sans Sarah. I got so much more out of the Sunday School lesson than I have in months!) Thanks Jen and Steve for your great service! I know Sarah loves nursery because you and Joe are there. And Sarah now loves to point to the picture of Jesus with the children in our front room and say, "Ji-Ji." It's adorable.
Recently, when I was on www.lds.org I discovered a new manual out for nursery. I have been thinking I need to be better at doing Family Home Evening with Sarah, but haven't known how to really start. I was super excited to see this new manual. I ordered it immediately and it came last Thursday. On Sunday night just before bedtime, Rog, Sarah and I sat down and had our first "official" FHE and went over lesson 1 - "I am a child of God." Can I just say it was great?! Sarah mostly wandered around the room, sometimes looking at the pictures and sometimes participating in the songs, but hey, it's a start.
I'm so glad you shared this! We have been having FHE for a while together, but always seem to have the same lessons since we can't think of anything else. I'm looking forward to getting this! :)
