One of the girls from Roger's office called me a few weeks ago to ask if I would be available to come in for a surprise baby shower for Roger. Three weeks is a really long time for me to keep a secret from my husband - especially when it involves him. But I will have you know, he was SUPER SURPRISED to see Sarah and me in the conference room surrounded by blue balloons and friendly faces.
I was impressed with the baby shower enthusiasm - they even played 2 games.
Game #1: See who can put on the baby's diaper the fastest - BLINDFOLDED.

Game #2: The Price is Right. I'm glad some of the Kimpton employees don't get to price baby items. One girl guessed more than $80 for a box of 604 baby wipes! YIKES!
Besides chasing balloons, Sarah's favorite part was opening the gifts. I was overwhelmed at the generosity of everyone in the office.
And checking out the presents!
I can't forget the yummy cakes! They were super tasty. Definitely worth taking out my invisilign trays to eat a couple pieces!
Thanks to everyone at Kimpton for such a fun afternoon. It really made our day. We can't wait to bring baby Will by the office to meet all of you.
That is an awesome cake!! How fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! And that cake! Oh mercy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea to have a baby shower for the dad. Roger must have a really great workplace. That cake does look fantastic! Good job keeping the secret - they are hard to keep from husbands.
