Can't You Just Stay?

I can't say enough about my amazing friends. They have gone above and beyond this week. Not only in taking care of Sarah so Rog could be with me at the hospital, they have been insistent on bringing us dinner each night since I've been home. I truly feel spoiled and loved.

I'm a little emotional today as I think about one of my dear friends moving next week. Jen came into my life just over a year ago, moving into an apartment two blocks from us. Her little boy Joe was born a month before Sarah. We started hanging out at playgroups and we became fast friends. These last few months as our toddlers have increased their energy and hence their activity outlet needs, Sarah and Joe have fallen in love. Every time we pass Joe's apartment building, Sarah starts chanting, "Joe, Joe, Joe." On many an outing, Sarah and Joe have held hands in the back seat. This week, Joe put his arm around Sarah while they were hanging out. They are also good at giving each other hugs. Sarah LOVES her Joe. And she loves Jen almost as much. When Jen dropped off dinner tonight, Sarah ran after her yelling, "Jen, Jen, Jen, Jen ..." Sarah LOVES having Jen time. Jen will play with Sarah at the mall playground - unlike Sarah's then prego mommy. Jen also has the best snacks. (I don't know how many bags of Pirate Booty" I owe you Jen!)

I don't know how Sarah is going to cope with them leaving in less than a week. Really, I don't know how I am going to cope without Jen & Joe down the street (oh and Steve too). We will miss you lots and lots! Come back often! And update your blog all the time. :)

  1. O, that was the nicest thing you could do for us! We love you guys, and now that I know you like the suburbs, why don't you just follow us, and do it soon!
