Grandma's Visit

I can't believe how fast the past few days FLEW by! Grandma came into town on Friday morning and left early this morning. It was super nice to have her around. Here's a recap of our time together. (Side note - all the time that isn't accounted for was spent in great conversation, playing on the computer or getting "a little" sleep.)

Friday: Picked up mom at 10:30 from SFO. Headed straight to Colma to go shopping (I got a couple of shirts) & have lunch. Home for naps. Made grilled stuffed burritos for dinner. I headed to Twilight with the girls while Rog & Mom put babies to bed.

Saturday: 10 am pictures at Japanese Tea Gardens. Mom's a great photographer and I wore one of my new shirts. (Email me your mailing address - hillaryosness@yahoo.com - so we can send you our Christmas card.) Home for naps & lunch. Mom watched both babies so Rog and I could go to dinner at Cheesecake Factory and do a little shopping. It's been way too long since I've had the Dulce de Leche cheesecake. And it was SUPER GREAT to have some one-on-one time with Roger.

Sunday: Mom again watched both babies so Rog and I could go to church. Sarah still had a little cold so we thought it best to keep her away from nursery. I LOVED being able to listen in Sacrament Meeting without having to entertain a toddler. It felt as if Rog and I were on another "date." I went home after Sunday School and switched places with my mom so I could feed William and so she could attend the other Sacrament Meeting with Rog. After naps and dinner Rog and I took William to the annual Stake High Priests Fireside. We were probably the youngest couple there. hmmm. I spent the first half-hour in the mother's lounge feeding William (Thankfully, they had the talk piped into the room.) It was so great just to be spiritually uplifted. Loved it. We also got to "show off" little Will to all the adoring women. When we got home, Mom said Sarah had a hard time with us leaving - mostly because we took Bro-ber and not her!

Monday: We took William to his 2-week check up. William weighed in at 9 lbs. Yes, he is growing RAPIDLY. I was a little worried he wasn't getting enough to eat because instead of eating every 2-3 hours, he's eating every 3-4 hours. However, Dr. W said I should just be happy to have such a good-natured, healthy, happy baby. (Not a problem here!) His belly button has mostly come off, but Dr. W used a little silver nitrate to get the rest of it off. After naps we visited Daddy at his office. Sarah had a melt-down. (She wasn't center of attention today!) Everyone LOVED baby brother. Afterward, we picked up Thai food from OSHA. (After the office episode I didn't think eating out with Sarah was such a good idea.) Mom loved OSHA just as much as we did. What's not to love about Yellow Curry with Chicken, Country Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice. YUMMY!

Tuesday: We got out of the apartment around 10:30 and headed shopping in Colma. My mom got a beautiful red jacket with black dress pants. Love it. Sarah got a new Care Bears "Moo-ie." SHE LOVES IT! We hit In-n-Out Burger on the way home. And, miraculously, there was no line for the drive-through. UNBELIEVABLE! After naps and feeding William, I got to go grocery shopping ALL BY MYSELF! Sarah watched her moo-ie. We made Italian Chicken for dinner and mom made bread and her yummy dinner rolls. I'm getting geared up for Thanksgiving for sure.

Wednesday:
Mom, Will & I left the apartment at 4:45 am to take Mom to SFO. It was sad to let her go, but we are excited to see her in a few weeks for my sister's wedding and Christmas. Can't wait!
