Boys and Girls

I know many of you thought Will looked "just like sister" on our poll but I've gotta tell you he's totally different! See ... William likes to wear blue instead of pink :)



Let's compare:

At 3 weeks, Sarah had just made it back to her birth weight. (7 lbs. 11 oz). At 5 weeks, she was 8 lbs. 13 oz. By two months she finally reached the 10 lb mark. Sarah wore her 0-3 month clothes for 4 1/2 months. And for the first few months, Sarah was eating for 45 minutes to an hour at a time, every two to three hours.

William, was born at 8 lb. 1 oz. He dropped to 7 lb 8 oz in the hospital. THE NEXT DAY he was back up to 7 lb. 15 oz. and at his 2 week he was 9 lbs. Today, at three weeks, he weighed in at 9 lbs. 12 oz. (He needed an extra appointment because his belly button didn't fall off all the way and the doctor wanted to make sure it didn't get infected.) He's already loosing the "extra room" in his 0-3 onesies and growing out of his "newborn" outfits. He may just keep up with his cousin Felix in the weight area. (I believe Natalie was saying Felix was gaining a pound a week ...) The funny thing is that William eats only 20-30 minutes at a time and goes for 3-4 hours between feedings.

Am I complaining, NOPE, just thought it was funny to look at the weight differences of the two. I really think one of the reasons between the weight gain is how active Sarah was compared to William. Sarah could KICK and William is definitely content to just eat, look around for a little bit, and then go back to sleep.
