Rog, Kim and I watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at the Metreon IMAX on Wednesday night. I have to say the IMAX experience is pretty awesome. The last 20 minutes of the movie were made for the IMAX screen and it really feels as if you are in the Department of Mysteries. Super cool.
I have to say I have been really impressed with how well the Harry Potter movies are made. As many of you can attest, the "Summer of #3 Movies" has been pretty much a bust. However, HP#5 didn't lose a step in the Harry Potter momentum. Timed perfectly to increase excitement for book 7. The crew was cast appropriately. I hated Professor Umbridge just as much as I did when I read the book. The original characters came back and with excellent performances and I loved Luna Lovegood. HP#5 is definitely a great addition to the Potter repertoire.
I started reading HP#7 on Saturday. (I know, for those of you who read the book last weekend, it's a complete shock that I haven't already read it.) I am looking forward to reading it while relaxing in Utah and Southern California these next couple of weeks.

ok so this is the tenth post on harry potter I have read recently... Don't be too shocked but I havn't read OR seen any of the movies!!! Is it too late for me. . . I havn't wanted to see the movies until I read the books . Are they really that good? I just need to go out and buy the first one huh!
