19 Months

I guess it never gets old for me to write of Sarah's monthly progress. I am always amazed at what happens and how much she grows up in one month alone. This month she's been talking up a storm. Her favorite DVD is The Talking Words Factory. (Mostly because I misplaced her Letter Factory DVD.) She could watch it multiple times a day if I let her! She also loves putting letters in her Word Whammer letter set for the refrigerator. No she can't make her own words yet but she loves to sound out some of her letters. Sarah can do the sounds for "A" "C" "D" "E" "F" "H" "J" "K" "L" "M" "O" "Q" "R" and "S." I think "A" "M" and "S" are her favorites. Thank goodness for educational DVDs! (I love being able to have a half-hour to get ready in the morning.)

Sarah's new favorite word is "No." It's still in the cute stage as she says it with a higher, contemplative voice. (Kind of like, "Hmmm ... I don't think so.") I'm sure the cuteness factor will wear off soon enough, but for now we'll enjoy it :)

I got her in to see her doctor this week for her 18 month checkup. (Her doctor's office was swamped so it took 3 extra weeks!) Here are her stats.

Height: 33 inches - 75th Percentile
Weight: 24.2 lbs. - 50th Percentile
Head Circumference: 97th Percentile

Sarah has been teething - again. I have to say molars are brutal. She has two coming in on the top and bottom left side that are just awful. The top and bottom of the right side came in this month as well. Why does it have to be sooooo painful? I don't remember my mouth hurting when my permanent teeth came in during Elementary School or when my Wisdom Teeth came in after high school. I'm just glad we have Tylenol :)

  1. Friendly advice: Stop the cute "no" before the not-cute "no" comes along. It will be much more painful if you wait. She sure is cute! We love Sarah!

  2. Do you lock her up in there or did she climb in herself?? JK! Have you started getting her ready for her baby brother yet?

  3. She is getting so big! Yeah-the teething can be brutal. Sometimes I wish they just came with teeth...& an owners manual :0)
