I survived the weekend with my Internet down. (It’s a good thing I can check my email on my blackberry.) I tried to fix the problem myself by disconnecting everything and then reconnecting it, but alas the Internet light on my modem was blaring red in my face.

Can I just say that I love spending my time on the phone talking with telephone representatives – ALL AFTERNOON. After being transferred to 6 people (and I’m not exaggerating) we discovered that my connection problem was that I was signed up for an internet connection that didn’t work in my area (I’m too far away from the central hub) and when I transferred the phone line from the Fisher’s account to ours they didn’t disconnect and reconnect everything properly. So 20 minutes for the lowering the Internet connection speed and another half -hour for the technician to disconnect/reconnect the lines. And then I needed to re-register for the account. Chalk up another hour for that. I am just grateful that Sarah slept until after it was back up and running. All is right in the world again. And yes I am way too dependant/addicted/etc. to my Internet. I do just fine without TV, but make me go without Internet and I become frantic.
Hill- I am the same way!!! I don't care about T.V., but if I can't get on the net I go CRAZY!!
